what nourishes you in your professions, what is the source of your inspiration?
pleasure is a guiding element, beyond the personal pleasure of creating, there is that which we want to provoke in others by imagining what will resonate with them, which will generate a new emotion. I am also aware of how lucky I am to be able to spend my days putting creation at the center, it is a permanent personal enrichment.

Who are the people or projects that constitute references for you?
from a musical point of view, I can't not mention artists like Daft Dunk, there is also the Factory Records label which has represented major artists like the legendary Joy Division or New Order. fashion-wise, for many reasons I think of “comme des enfants”. I have a lot of respect for this brand which has managed to establish itself without making any direct marketing investment. They also have a real product agility which has allowed them to reach a clientele ranging from 2 to 90 years old. resolutely transgenerational in them tends towards the universal.

What compliment do you get on your work?
the idea that people can realize that 15 years later, I am still just as involved in what I do, that what we offer is carried out with the same passion as when we started.

the city that inspires you or resembles you?
what we do with masaya is always inspired by places that we love. from the gardens of the royal palace where we installed the kitsuné café to Japan which has always been an inspiration, via New York where we opened a store. the places we love ultimately become pretexts for creation, so Bali made us want to imagine a hotel project. I guess that’s what we call “combining business with pleasure”, right?
“the idea that people can realize that 15 years later, I am still as involved in what I do, that what we offer is carried out with the same passion as when we started. »
what is the art of living according to you?
just one rule: don’t take yourself too seriously and always have fun! You shouldn't put any obligations on yourself, it kills creativity. it is a discipline that takes quite a long time to integrate and it must be worked on on a daily basis, but this absence of obligation generates the essential space for the creativity necessary for our professions.

your favorite materials, whether music or clothes?
I'm thinking of house music which was already one of my ingredients 20 years ago and which is coming back in force at the moment, to the culture around this movement, I would also like to explore this theme during the week of the fashion. on the clothing side, the choice of material is significant in the elegance of a silhouette, in the search for modernity, the combination of denim and cashmere is one of my fundamentals. the mixture of materials will always be subject to exploration, Japanese designers like Sacai excel in this exercise.

your guiding principle in music and in fashion?
I would say youth culture, this desire - if not a need - to be interested in what is new, not to cling at all costs to acquired knowledge but to always challenge what exists, whether it uses music, clothing, technology... I see a form of candor that still nourishes creation.

your biggest challenge achieved or to be achieved?
I am more of a supporter of “one small step every day”, we are in a marathon, nothing will ever be won. kitsuné grew up like this, step by step. we are always amazed by the playground it offers, surprised by a potential that only grows even beyond the hopes we had at the start.

your ritual in your job?
I'm at 2:30 every day and whatever happens at the kitsuné café. “I am more of a supporter of “one small step every day”, we are in a marathon, nothing will ever be won. kitsuné grew up like this, step by step. »
the type of music or style that annoys you?
during a club night, the DJ was playing a particularly specific musical style (trap - a hip-hop movement), I admit I completely fell for it after an hour.

If you weren't in fashion and music, what job would you do?
I really love what I do, so it’s hard for me to imagine doing anything else. let's say that I would have potentially liked to know how to write better, to master this artistic talent.

your favorite object? how much does he weigh ?
To everyone's surprise, I announced a little heart from Baccarat. It must weigh 200 grams...

what has weight in your life?
obviously, my wife and my children, my friends, my business, my colleagues... to run a marathon, you have to be surrounded, to fight for yourself and for others.

your object(s) on the gram, what is/are they? how do you use the doors?
I have a 21g smooth polished 925 silver bracelet that I just misplaced and which I miss a lot, I will definitely find it again at some point. I became attached to its aesthetic, which was both distinguished and cool. The Maison Kitsuné x Le Gram collaboration therefore comes at the right time.

how was the collaboration with le gram born?
it is a story of meeting and exchange over time, of shared respect for what the other has achieved. then comes the right moment and the desire to found this now common family represented by these little silver foxes.

If the gram was a style or a piece of music or a piece of fashion, which one would it be?
it would be a very well-paced piece of electro, I would say metro area by miura.
